description
The woman on the left is Linda, Marc is on the right. He is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), suffering from severe Graft-Versus-Host Disease (GVHD). This was a side-effect of an autologaus bone marrow transplant.
My brother passed away the following day. He was being treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma (a bone marrow transplant was his only chance of surviving). He was 34 years old, and he leaves behind three children.

My god, what a terrible terrible thing to have to live thru. This photo has made me sit here and cry for hours... it is just so sad. I am looking at my 12 year old son as I am writing this and hoping I never have to be in Marc's mother's position. I's probably arrange to go with him somehow. The pain must have been unbearable.
