Linda Kay Johnson (9/18/1943 - 8/12/2020)

Linda was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin, in the house that I live in now. She graduated from New Richmond High School and St. Barnabas Nursing School in Minneapolis. She married my father, David Gregerson, and graduated from Macalaster College in St. Paul with a BSN. Later, she got a masters from the U of M in public health administration.

This video shows the course of my mother's life through photos I have saved.

Marc Alan Gregerson (11/7/1968 - 3/20/2003)

Marc Alan Gregerson was my adopted brother. He was adopted from Lutheran Social Services in Minneapolis a few months after he was born.

Marc attended Marcy Open School, like me, and also Sanford Jr. High and South High School. He lived in Minneapolis until around 1989, when he moved permanently to the Palm Springs area in California, near where our mom had relocated. There he got married and had a daughter, Kaitlin.

Marc developed Hodgkin's Disease in the summer of 2001 and passed away from severe GVHD following a bone marrow transplant on March 20, 2003.

Alice May Johnson (11/10/1913 - 12/1/2012)

Alice Johnson was my grandmother, and she lived in the house I live in now. She was born in Belvidere, in Goodhue County, Minnesota in 1913. Her great-grandfather, Joseph Soule Thompson, homesteaded there. Her father was Albert Thompson and her grandfather was Reno Thompson.

Alice graduated from teaching school and worked as a teacher until getting married. Alice married Harry Johnson and together they had two children, my mother (Linda) and a younger son, Tommy. Alice and Harry raised their children in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Alice worked for the New Richmond School District as a secretary at the middle school for many years.
